Nomination Process
Launch – 05.10.07
Nominations are invited, via the online nomination form, from restaurants, customers and suppliers. Should additional information be required to support your nomination you will be contacted by a member of the events team.
Nominations Close – 09.11.07
Short-listing – 12.11.07
Specially selected team will select 3 finalists in each category. This panel will also select a dedicated testing team (made up of no more than 4), with expertise in that particular sector, to perform the site visits. Finalists informed – 13.11.07.
Site visits 19.11.07 – 07.12.07
Restaurants will be contacted and agreed site visits will be arranged for the judges to evaluate a customers experience. Each group of judges will evaluate the restaurant against a set list of criteria which will be made available to the restaurateurs before the visit occurs.
A site report will also be made available to finalists following the event on the 28.01.08.
Judging session – 08.01.08
All judging groups will re-convene to review the site reports, customers comments and the original nomination. The judges will select 1 winner from each of the categories.
THE EVENT – 28.01.08
The winners will be announced at a glittering award ceremony held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).
